Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance does not contain according to the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria following chemical groups (structural feature)1):

1.- C-C unsaturation (e.g. acetylenes, acetylides, 1, 2-dienes),

2.- C-Metal, N-Metal (e.g. Grignard reagents, organo-lithium compounds),

3.- Contiguous nitrogen atoms (e.g. azides, aliphatic azo compounds, diazonium salts, hydrazines, sulphonylhydrazides)

4.- Contiguous oxygen atoms (e.g. peroxides, ozonides)

5.- N-O (e.g. hydroxyl amines, nitrates, nitro compounds, nitroso compounds, N-oxides, 1,2-oxazoles)

6.- N-halogen (e.g. chloramines, fluoroamines)

7.- O-halogen (e.g. chlorates, perchlorates, iodosyl compounds)

Furthermore the substance does also not contain one or more of following groups: acetylenic, metal acetylenic, diazirine, diazo, nitroso, nitro, acyl or alkyl nitrite or nitrate, epoxide, triazene, peroxide, azide, chlorate, perchlorate. Therefore we have to state that there is no likelihood that the mentioned substance possesses explosive properties. In the light of these facts further testing in respect to these properties is not required.
