Description of key information

Appearance:

On the basis of physical observation and using the sense of smell, Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates was observed to be a solid violet powder.

Melting point:

The melting point determination of Test item Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates was done as per the test guideline OECD 102. The method followed was according to Capillary/metal block. The Mean decomposition temperature was determine to be 650°C at 976.4 hPa.

Boiling Point:

The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid which decomposes before boiling. The melting point determination of Test item Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates was done as per the test guideline OECD 102. The method followed was according to Capillary/metal block. The Mean decomposition temperature was determine to be 650°C at 976.4 hPa.

Density:

The density of test item Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates was determined following OECD Guideline 109 and according to the Adapted from ASTM D854-02 using pyknometer mean density of test item was determine to be 0.3356 g/cm³ and 20°C and 972.85 hPa.

Particle size distribution:

The particle size distribution of test item Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates was determined by granulometric analysis with rotap sieve shaker. The particle size distribution was determine to be in the range of 150 micron to 75 micron.

Vapour pressure:

The study does not need to be conducted because the melting point is above 300°C. The melting point determination of Test item Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates was done as per the test guideline OECD 102. The method followed was according to Capillary/metal block. The Mean  decomposition temp was determine to be 650°C at 976.4 hPa.

Partition coefficient:

The partition Coefficient n-octanol/water of chemical Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates was determined by the Reverse Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatography method according to OECD Guideline No. 117 for testing of Chemicals. A test item solution was prepared by accurately weighing 4 mg of test item and diluted with Acetonitrile up to 10 ml. Thus, the test solution concentration was 400 mg/l. The pH of test substance was 6.2. The reference substances were Butanone, 4-Acetylpyridine, Acetanilide, Benzyl alcohol, 4-Methoxyphenol, Phenoxyacetic acid, Phenol, 4-Methylbenzyl alcohol, Acetophenone, 2-Nitrophenol, Nitrobenzene, Cinnamyl alcohol, Benzene, Methyl benzoate, Cinnamic Acid, Toluene, 2,6-Dichlorobenzonitrile, Chlorobenzene, 2,3-Dichloroaniline, Allyl phenyl ether, Bromobenzene, Benzophenone, Ethylbenzene, 1,4-Dichlorobenzene, Diphenylamine, Naphthalene, Biphenyl, Benzyl Benzoate, 1,2,4-Trichlorobenzene, Dodecanoic acid, Diphenyl ether, n-Butylbenzene, DDT, having Pow value ranging from 0.3 to 6.5. The Log Pow value of the test chemical Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates was determined to be 2.7 ± 0.006 at 25°C. On the basis of this value, the test substance Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates can be considered to be hydrophilic in nature.

Water solubility:

The water solubility determination of test item Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates was done by spectrophotometric method. The water solubility was determine to be 0.2308 mg/L at 25°C.

Surface tension:

In accordance with column 2 of Annex VII of the REACH regulation, the study need only be conducted if surface activity is a desired property of the chemical. Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates is used as a pigments for printing inks. For this use, surface activity is not an important property. Hence this study was considered for waiver.

Flash point:

The flash point determination of Test item Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates was done. The method was closed cup method using Pensky-Martens Flash Point Apparatus. The mean flash point flash point of the test item was determine to be 109.6°C at 974.7 hPa.

Auto flammability:

Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates did not catch fire on being exposed to air at room temperature of 27°C pressure of 966 hPa. This indicates that   Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates is not auto-flammable.

Flammability:

Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates does not indicate any ignition when the flame of bunsen burner having temperature of approximately 950°C is brought in contact with it. Thus it can be concluded that Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates is not flammable at high temperature. However since such high temperatures are not found under normal circumstances of transportation and use, thus Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates was considered non-flammable.

Explosiveness:

The study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties.

The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid.

pH:

The pH determination of test item Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates was done as per the test guideline OECD 122. The mean pH of the test dispersionwas determined with the help of digital pH meter. The mean pH was determine to be 4.01 at 27.2 °C.

The Log Pow value of the test chemical Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates was determined to be 2.7 ± 0.006 at 25°C. On the basis of this value, the test substance Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates can be considered to be hydrophilic in nature.

Water solubility:

The water solubility determination of test item Reaction mass of Benzenamine, N,N-dimethyl- , molybdate, tungstate & phosphates was done as per the OECD guideline 105 by spectrophotometric analytical method as per OECD 101.
