Additional information

Short-term toxicity tests are available for all three trophic levels (fish, invertebrates and algae). The 96-hour LC50 in rainbow trout is >120 mg/L, the 48-hour EC50 in Daphnia magna is >120 mg/L, and the 72-hour ErC50 and NOErC in algae are 140 and 56 mg/L, respectively. In an activated sludge respiration inhibition test a 3-hour EC50 and NOEC value of >100 and 100 mg/L, respectively, were observed.

Conclusion on classification

Based on available toxicity data for fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae and a consideration of the relevant substance properties, the substance needs not be classified according to Directive 67/548/EEC.

Based on available toxicity data for fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae and a consideration of the relevant substance properties, the substance needs not be classified according to EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
