Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Appearance:

On basis of visual perceptual / Olfactory property, the physical appearance of test chemical was observed to be a Pale yellow liquid having  sweet, earthy, woody and slightly camphoraceous odour.

Melting point:

On basis of the data obtained from study report, the freezing point of test chemical was observed to be less than -7.1 °C

Boiling Point:

Boiling point of test chemical was determined to be in the range 111 to 112 °C at pressure 0.2666 kP.

Density:

Based on prediction done using ACD/I-Lab 2.0, the density of test chemical was estimated to be 1 g/cm3 at 20 °C & 101.325 kPa.

Particle size distribution:

The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is marketed or used in a non solid or granular form.

Vapour pressure:

Modified Grain method was used to estimate the vapour pressure of test chemical using MPBPVP v1.43 of EPI SUITE. The estimated vapour pressure of test chemical at 25 °C was 0.3453 Pa.

Parti tion coefficient:

KOWWIN V1.68 was used to estimate the Octanol water partition coefficient of the test chemical. The estimated log POW of the test chemical was estimated to be 3.81 dimensionless. On the basis of this estimated value, test chemical is considered to be hydrophilic in nature.

Water solubility:

The water solubility determination of test chemical was done as per the shake flask method. The solubility was determined to be greater than 100 mg/L at 29 °C. Thus test chemical is considered to be moderately soluble in water.

Surface tension:

Based on the data from ACD labs, surface tension for test chemical was predicted to be 34.7 mN/m.

Flash point:

The flash point of test chemical estimated to be 119.7 °C.

Auto flammability:

Test chemical did not catch fire on being exposed to air at room temperature of 27°Cpressure of 966 hPa. This indicates that test chemical is not auto-flammable.

Flammability:

Flash point of test substance is observed to be at 119.7 °C. Based on criteria mentioned in CLP regulation the chemical has flash point greater than 60 °C, hence the substance is considered to be non-flammable.

Explosiveness:

The study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties.

Oxidizing properties:

The study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with the oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
