Conclusion on classification

m-TMXDI was tested for toxicity to fish, invertebrates and algae. The lowest acute toxicity value was found for fathead minnow, with a 96 h LC50 of 0.67 mg/L. In aquatic biodegradation testing, m-TMXDI proved to be not readily biodegradable. As a result, m-TMXDI qualifies for environmental classification as Aquatic Acute 1 – H400 (Very toxic to aquatic life) and Aquatic Chronic 1 – H410 (Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects) according to CLP (EC 1272/2008) criteria.
