Additional information

The determination of the boiling point of 2-(4-Amino-2-nitroanilino)ethanol was performed by visual judgement using the capillary method (Siwoloboff method) following OECD guideline 103, EU Method A.2 and GLP.

At a temperature of 250 °C in the both preliminary tests single and small bubbles were observed, at 270 °C the test item was solid again and carbonized. Due to this observation a decomposition process is assumed.

A clear normal boiling point, as defined in the guideline with a current stream of bubbles evolving from the capillary, was not observed. The atmospheric pressure was 98.42 kPa.

No boiling point of 2-(4-Amino-2-nitroanilino)ethanol according to the criteria described in the guideline could be observed up to 400 °C. The atmospheric pressure was 98.42 kPa.

This boiling point test is classified as acceptable, and satisfies the guideline requirements for the OECD 103 and the EU method A2.
