Description of key information
The logarithmic partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) of 2-(4-Amino-2-nitroanilino)ethanol was determined to be 0.27 using the shake flask method at 20 °C.

The partition coefficient of the 2 -(4 -Amino-2 -nitroanilino)ethanol between n-octanol and water was determined using the shake flask method according to the OECD 107, the EU Method A8 and the GLP.
The partition coefficient was calculated based on the results of the analytical determination. The test item content was determined by HPLC. The log Pow was calculated for each run and 6 samples were tested.
The difference between the different tests was less than the given ± 0.3 log units. Therefore, the study can be considered to be valid.
According to this study the logarithmic partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) of the test item was determined to be 0.27 using the shake flask method at 20 °C.
