Administrative data
First-aid measures
- Immediately remove any clothing soiled by the product.
- After inhalation: Supply fresh air; seek medical treatment in case of complaints.
- After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly, if skin irritation continues consult a doctor.
- After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water, then consult a doctor.
- After swallowing: If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious), induce vomiting only, if affected person is fully conscious. Drink plenty of water and provide fresh air. Call for a doctor immediately to seek medical treatment.
- Information for doctor: Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
- Suitable extinguishing agents: Water spray, foam, fire-extinguishing powder or carbon dioxide. Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions.
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in case of fire.
ADVICE FOR FIREFIGHTERS
- Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.
- Additional information: Dispose of fire debris and contaminated firefighting water in accordance with official regulations.
Accidental release measures
- Wear protective clothing, ensure adequate ventilation and avoid contact with the eyes and skin.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS: Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.
METHODS AND MATERIAL FOR CONTAINMENT AND CLEANING
- Pick up mechanically. Send for recovery or disposal in suitable receptacles. Dispose of the material collected according to regulations. Neutralise residues on floor with solid sodium carbonate.
Handling and storage
- Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.
- Wear protective clothing.
- Prevent the formation of dust. Provide suction extractors if dust is formed and any unavoidable deposits of dust must be regularly removed.
- Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.
Information about fire - and explosion protection: No special measures required.
-
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
- Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Store only in the original receptacle.
- Information about storage in one common storage facility: Not required.
- Further information about storage conditions: Keep container tightly sealed, protect from heat and frost.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND GENERAL HYGIENIC MEASURES
- Do not eat, drink, smoke or sniff while working. Do not inhale dust / smoke / mist. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.
- Respiratory protection: Use suitable respiratory protective device when high concentrations are present.
- Recommended filter device for short term use: Filter P2 and Filter FFP2
- Protection of hands: Protective gloves. Material of gloves: Butyl rubber (BR) or Nitrile rubber (NBR). Value for the permeation: Level ≥ 120 min. (EN 374), the exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.
- Eye protection: Safety glasses.
- Body protection: Protective work clothing
Stability and reactivity
- Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used and stored according to specifications.
- Possibility of hazardous reactions: Reacts with strong alkali.
- Conditions to avoid: No further relevant information available.
- Incompatible materials: No further relevant information available.
- Hazardous decomposition products: In case of heat, the following can be released: Vapour of acetic acid.
Disposal considerations
- It must be specially treated adhering to official regulations. The disposal must be made according to official regulations.
- Waste disposal key: 51540 (ÖNORM S 2100)
- European waste catalogue: 06 03 14
- Uncleaned packaging recommendation: Packagings that may not be cleaned are to be disposed of in the same manner as the product. Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
