First-aid measures
If inhaled: Remove to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
In case of skin contact:Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water. If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/ attention.
In case of eye contact: Hold eyelids apart and flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention.
If swallowed: If conscious, make the victim drink the following drink 1 or 2 glasses of water. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Treatment: The first aid procedure should be established in consultation with the doctor responsible for industrial medicine.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Specific hazards during firefighting: Burning produces noxious and toxic fumes. Thermal decomposition can lead to release of irritating gases and vapours. May form explosive dust-air mixture.
Advice for firefighters
Special protective equipment for firefighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Use personal protective equipment.
Further information: Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
Avoid dust formation.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment.
Environmental precautions
Environmental precautions: Avoid release to the environment.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Methods for cleaning up: Remove all sources of ignition. Pick up and arrange disposal without creating dust.
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Use personal protective equipment as required.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid breathing dust. Avoid creating dust. Remove all sources of ignition. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Ensure all equipment is electrically grounded before beginning transfer operations.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Requirements for storage areas and containers: Keep tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep only in the original container.
Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Protect from contamination.
Advice on common storage: Never allow product to get in contact with water during storage.
Other data: Stable under recommended storage conditions.
Specific end use: Antioxidant
