Additional information

The melting point of the C20-24 sodium sulfonate (Benzenesulfonic acid, mono-C20-24 (even)-sec-alkyl derivs., para-, sodium salts) has been determined using the pour point method, designed to be compatible with EU Method A.1 and OECD Guideline 102, under GLP compliance (Fox, 2015c). A preliminary test was performed prior to the main test. The determination of the melting point in the main test was carried out in duplicate. The pour point of the test item has been determined to be 9 ± 3°C (282 ± 3 K).
