CAS number: -
Auto-ignition temperature_EU Method A.15: 360 +/- 5 °C (Atmospheric pressure: 97.2 to 101.0 kPa)
auto-ignition temperature of the C20-24 sodium sulfonate (Benzenesulfonic
acid, mono-C20-24 (even)-sec-alkyl derivs., para-, sodium salts)
using a Carbolite flask heater and a procedure compatible with EU Method
A.15 (Tremain, 2015a). The test flask was heated in a flask heater.
Aliquots of test item (tested as received) dropped into the flask which
was observed for signs of ignition over a 300 second period. This
procedure was repeated, varying the sample size, as necessary, until the
lowest temperature at which ignition, if any, occurred within 300
seconds of insertion, was determined. The test item has been determined
to have an auto-ignition temperature of 360 ± 5 °C.
