Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
not classified

Additional information

Burning rate/solids:

The substance is classified as not readily combustible solid when tested according to UN Test Procedure N.1.

Contact with water:

The substance contains none of the functional groups quoted in Manual of Tests and Criteria (fourth revised edition, appendix 6, article 5.3) which may react with water to emit flammable gases. Therefore, it can be concluded that the substance does not emit flammable gases in contact with water. The determination according to UN Test Procedure N.5 is not necessary.

Pyrophoric properties for solids:

The substance did not deliver indications of pyrophoric properties during the realisation of other tests. The substance has no pyrophoric properties in the sense of UN Test Procedure N.2.

Self heating properties:

No exothermic effects were recorded at temperatures up to 380 °C . The substance is not a self-heating substance according to the criteria of the UNRecommendations on the transport of dangerous goods.
