Description of key information

There are two valid studies available which were conducted in accordance with OECD test method 201 and GLP documentation.

After 72 hours an EC 50 of higher than 100 mg/L and a NOEC of 2.151 mg/L were determined. The results are expressed in terms of geometric mean measured concentrations. Effective concentrations ranged from 9.2-36.5% of nominal values at 0 hours, and from 7.8-27.2% of nominal values at 72 hours, respectively. In the other study no toxic effects against algae were observed with an ECr50 of higher than 6.2 mg/L which is at the limit of the water solubility under exposure conditions (Weyers, 2009/2010).

Additional information

"Should read: > 100 mg/L"

The ErC 50 could not be calculated with sufficient precision. A value of ca. 1000 mg/L could be read, thus the EC 50 is clearly > 100 mg/L.
