Description of key information

In accordance with Section 7.8, Column 2 of REACH Annex VII, it is considered appropriate to omit the partition co-efficient study as the substance is inorganic.

A supporting study is provided on the analogous substance Zinc Hydroxystannate.

The partition coefficient of the test material was determined in line with GLP and in accordance with the standardised guidelines OECD 107 and EU Method A.8.

Determination of the partition coefficient was carried out at 20 °C by shaking measured volumes of octanol with measured volumes of a solution of the test material in distilled water. Concentrations of the test material in both phases were determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry.

Under the conditions of this study, the log Pow was determined to be <-1.05.
