Reference
Endpoint:
toxicity to terrestrial arthropods: short-term
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
a short-term study does not need to be conducted because an appropriate long-term toxicity study on terrestrial organisms is available
Justification for type of information:
A short-term toxicity study does not need to be conducted because an appropriate long-term toxicity study on terrestrial organisms is available. According to the Data Submission Manual 5: How to Complete a Technical Dossier for Registrations and PPORD Notifications (RELEASE 2.1), ECHA-08-B-06-EN, for registrations of >1000T, 1 long-term test must be provided either for toxicity to soil macroorganisms except arthropods or for toxicity to terrestrial arthropods. Data requirements have been adequately covered with a OECD Guideline 222, Earthworm Reproduction Test. Thus, a study examining toxicity to terrestrial arthropods is not required.
