Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move to fresh air, rest, half upright position, loosen
clothing. Oxygen or artificial respiration if there is
difficulty in breathing.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. Eyelids should be
held away from the eyeball to ensure thorough rinsing. Seek
medical advice if irritation develops.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash immediately with soap and water. Remove contaminated
clothing/shoes. Launder clothes before re-use.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth. Give water to drink. Induce vomiting. Never
induce vomiting in unconscious or confused persons. Seek
medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, carbin dioxide, powder.
Product arising from burning: May emit toxic and irritating fumes under fire conditions
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Do not allow to enter into drains or water courses. Collect
as much as possible in a clean container for (preferably)
re-use or disposal. Cover the remainder with inert
absorbent (e.g.vermiculite) for disposal.
Handling and storage
Handling: The usual precautions for handling chemicals should be
observed.
Storage: Keep in a cool place. Keep container tightly closed and in a
well-ventilated place.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: bulk, 200 l drums
