Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

An Ames test and a chromosome aberration in CHL test were performed on Fyrolflex BDP. Both in vitro studies were negative in the presence and absence of metabolic activation. Fyrolflex BDP did not induce any significant chromosomal damage in the CHL cells. Fyrolflex BDP was not mutagenic to E. coli or to S. typhimarium. The substance was also clearly negative in the L5178Y/TK+/- Mouse Lymphoma Mutagenesis Assay.

There is no evidence of genotoxic potential of Fyrolflex BDP. Robust summary for each study is attached in the endpoint of study record.

Short description of key information:
Reverse mutation assay Ämes test using Salmonella Typhimurium and Escherichia coli
Chromosome aberration test in CHL cells
In vitro mammalian cell gene mutation assay

Endpoint Conclusion: No adverse effect observed (negative)

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance in not mutagenic.
