Description of key information

The performance of a test for hydrolysis as function of pH is scientifically unjustified. The study need not to be conducted as lithium hydroxide anhydrous and its monohydrate completely dissociate in water forming lithium cation and the corresponding hydroxide anion. Based on the water solubility of 71 - 125 g/L at 20 degree Celsius for lithium hydroxide anhydrous, the calculated dissociation constant (pKa) is in the range of 0.94 - 1.44. Based on the water solubility of 189 - 223 g/L at 10 degree Celsius for lithium hydroxide monohydrate, the calculated dissociation constant (pKa) is in the range of 1.31 - 1.45.
