Additional information

Dibromomethane was moderate and moderate to severely irritating to the skin and eye in rabbits. Redness, itching, and pain, well defined moderate-severe erythema and well define oedema were observed in a skin irritation assay. These effects were transient and reversible.

In the eye irritation assay, response to treatment included moderate pain, slight conjunctive and corneal injury of the rabbits eye. Very slight iritic. Healing was essentially complete in two days, The response of the eye contact washed treatment rabbits included: slight conjunctivae irritation. Healing was essentially complete in one day.
