Description of key information

Based on the primary information sourced from the NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) chlorotrifluoroethylene was reported to have a vapour pressure of 612 kPa at 25°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
612 kPa
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

Information regarding the vapour pressure of chlorotrifluoroethylene was sourced from three separate sources which are known to contain peer-reviewed data of Klimisch-2 reliability: The Beilstein database, the NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) and the Physical and Thermodynamic Properties of Pure Chemicals data Compilation which state that the substance has a vapour pressure ranging from 6.03 kPa to 3759.16 kPa in the range of temperature from -78.6°C to 104.3°C.

Based on the information obtained from Klimisch-4 reliability sources the test substance has a vapour pressure ranging from 482 kPa to 571 kPa at 21.1°C considering that such data are obtained from non peer-reviewed sources they have not been included in this assessment.
