Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information: Immediately remove any clothing soiled by the product
After inhalation: Supply fresh air; consult doctor in case of complaints
After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly
After eye contact: Seek medical treatment
After swallowing: Immediately call a doctor
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing agents: Alcohol resisitant foam, fire-extinguishing powder, carbon dioxide
for safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: no restrictions in large fires
In case of fire the following can be released: carbon monoxide (CO)
Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device; chemical resistant protective suit; under the protective suit a fire protective suit acc. to EN 469 should be applied.
Accidental release measures
Person related safety precautions:
Keep away from ignition sources.
Wear protective equipment
Keep unprotected persons away
Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes / dust / arerosols
Avoid contact with eyes and skin
Avoid spilling of product into the environment
Access only for trained personnel with personal protective equipment
Measure for environmental protection:
Do not allow to enter sewers / surface or ground water
Do not allow product to reach sewage systems or any water course
Keep contaminated washing water and dispose off appropriately
Mesaure for cleaning / collecting:
Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders, sawdust)
Additional information:
Discharge into waste water channels and biological treatment plants only after clearance with the operating company and in accordance with local authority approval.
Handling and storage
Information for safe handling:
Keep containers tightly sealed
Fill only in dedicated and assigned containers
Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles:
Store in a cool location
Corrosion of metals:
It should generally be borne in mind that there is a possibility of corrosion on contact with this material. Resistance should be checked in each individual case.
Information about storage in one common storage facility:
Store away from oxidising agents
Recommended storage temperature:
It is recommended not to exceed room temperature during storage over a longer periode of time.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Sufficient ventilation is recommended.
Check seals on flanges and valves for suitability and corrosion resistance. if necessary inspection intervals should be defined!
General protective and hygienic measures:
The usual precautionary measures for handling chemicals should be followed.
Protection of hands:
Protective gloves - selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation.
Do not wear gloves made from the following materials longer than 8 hours:
Butyl rubber, BR
Check for tightness before use.
Replace damaged gloves.
Not suitable glove materials:
Nitrile rubber, NBR
Natural rubber, NR
Chloroprene rubber, CR
PVC gloves
Eye protection:
Safety glasses
Body protection:
Use only liquid proof and chemical resistant protective suit.
Stability and reactivity
No decomposition if used according to specifications.
Materials to be avoided:
Strong bases, strong oxidising agents
Dangerous reactions:
No dangerous reactions known.
Dangerous products of decomposition:
Carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2)
Disposal considerations
Recommondation:
Must be specially treated adhering to official regulations
European waste catalogue: 07 07 99 - wastes not otherwise specified
Packagings that cannot be cleaned are to be disposed of in the same manner as the product.
Dispose of containers and unused contents in accordance with federal, state and local requirements.
Avoid spillage of product into the environment.
If possible use this material only in closed systems and devices. In case of open plant systems (sampling devices, filling and discharging, cleansing
works etc.) use local exhaust and collecting trays. Follow emission limit values. Measures in case of unwanted emissions should be established.
