Conclusion on classification

The available studies are considered reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.

The lowest EC50 of the available aquatic toxicity studies is 0.976 mg/L (algae). The lowest EC10 is 0.435 determined in a chronic toxicity test with Daphnia. No experimental data on bioaccumulation are available. However, due to the low logPow and estimated BCF of the degradation products and constituents no bioccumulation is expected. Furthermore, the uvcb substance and its degradation products are partially biodegradable but failing the ready biodegradability criteria.

Therefore, the substance meets the classification criteria for Aquatic Acute 1 (H400: "Very toxic to aquatic life") M-factor 1 and Aquatic Chronic 2 (H411: "Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects") according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
