Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

key study
Study period:
17. - 17. Feb. 2009
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:

Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test over 100 mm length
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period

It was observed that the substance developed a yellow flame. Glowing was observed, too. The test item's colour deepened where it came in contact with the flame of the gas burner. No ignition took place, the flame died when the burner was taken away. No self-propagating flame was visible.

Since ignition did not occur within two minutes, the test item was classified as not highly flammable. No determination of the burning rate was necessary, as no ignition within two minutes was observed in the screening test.

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
not highly flammable
