Description of key information

Biodegradation in water: screening tests

The substance was determined to be not readily biodegradable (Coenen, 1989).

Biodegradation in water and sediment: simulation tests

The overall DT50 was determined to be 18.3-22.5 days (Völkel, 2001). In a second study, the DT50 of the entire system was determined to be 38.41 days (Comezoglu, 1993).

Biodegradation in soil

The mean half-life of propargite was determined to be 61.6 days from a number of aerobic studies. The half-life of propargite was determined to be 64.4 days in an anaerobic study.
