PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

According to ECHA guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, chapter R.11: PBT/vPvB assessment, version 2.0, November 2014 these steps are taken for the PBT and vPvB assessment of the substance under consideration with the following results:

Step 1: Assessment of mammalian toxicity data;

- not classified or likely to be classified as carcinogenic (cat. 1A or 1B), germ cell mutagenic (cat. 1A or 1B) or toxic to reproduction (cat. 1A, 1B or 2) or STOT RE 1, or STOT RE 2, THEN move to step 2.

Step 2: Assessment of acute aquatic toxicity data;

- all EC50 ≥ 0.1 mg/L, THEN it needs to be confirmed that this is not a false negative (i.e. a substance with possibly a high chronic toxicity). Confirmed as the ErC10 for algae is > 0.1 mg/L. Move to step 5.

Step 5: Screening of the substance for P and B

- substance is readily biodegradable, then not P and STOP

Conclusion:

In accordance with current ECHA guidance and REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, the substance under consideration does not fulfill the criteria of PBT or vPvB.
