Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The test item has an auto-ignition temperature of 235 °C according to the Regulation EC 440/2008 Method A.15. Auto-Ignition Temperature (Liquids and Gases).

It is note here that according to ECHA guidance –Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment; chapter R.7A: Endpoint specific guidance, May 2008, the auto-ignition temperature for liquids are not used directly for classification and labeling according to regulation (EC) 1272/2008. However, they can be used in the chemical safety assessment in considering risks associated with processing the substance.

Nevertheless, according to DIN EN 13463-1 the test item has to be assigned to temperature class T3 (see the following Table).

Conclusions:
According to EU method A.15 (2008), the auto-ignition temperature rounded down with an accuracy of 5 K was determined to be 235 °C between 1003.1 hPa and 1004.5 hPa.

Description of key information

The auto-ignition temperature of the test item was determined at 235 °C at ca. 1004 hPa .

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
235 °C
