Considering its high water solubility, NaOH is not expected to bioconcentrate in organisms. Log Pow is not applicable for an inorganic compound which dissociate (OECD SIDS of sodium hydroxide of March 2002, section 3.7, page 36). In addition, sodium is a naturally-occurring element that is prevalent in the environment and to which organisms is exposed to regularly, for which they have some capacity to regulate.
