Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The acute toxicity of the test item to Daphnia was tested in a 48 h static test according to EU method C.2 (Directive EEC/92/69; 31 July 1992). The test item was applied in concentrations of 1000 and 3000 mg/L (nominal). The WAF (Water accomodated Fractions) of the substance, which were prepared by 24 h stirring of the nominal test substance concentrations and siphoning of the aqueous phase, were applied. The total 48 h incubation was performed static without change of the test medium. As the testmedium is sparingly soluble in water, the effect concentrations were referred to the nominal concentrations. The following effect concentrations were estimated: EC0 : < 1000 mg test item/L; EC50: < 1000 mg test item/L; EC100: <= 1000 mg test item/L (Henkel, 1998).

Furthermore, QSAR calculations are available for the QSAR tool ECOSAR V. 1.00 and Catalogic 5.11.16 for the test substance. QSAR modelling revealed an EC50 value for the ECOSAR class : Epoxide, mono a specific toxicity of EC50: 0.163 mg/l for 48 h exposure and for baseline toxicity an EC50 of 0.095 mg/l in Daphnia. In both cases the substance is not fully covered by the applicability domaine.

Modelling with Catalogic 5.11.16 revealed an EC50 of for Daphnia magna < 0.094 mg/l. The substance is covered by the applicability domaine of the tool.
