Principles of method if other than guideline:
In vivo sister chromatid exchange in male C57BL./6 mouse bone marrow cells. Solvent Yellow 33/Solvent Green 3 mixture at doses of 10, 20, or 40 mg/kg in 0.1 mL DMSO + 0.1 mL corn oil was injected intraperitoneally (3 to 4 animals/group). Positive controls were injected with cyclophosphamide, and negative controls were injected with the vehicle.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results: negative
Executive summary:

In vivo sister chromatid exchange in male C57BL/6 mouse bone marrow cells was analyzed as another test for genotoxicity (Moore et al, 1984). The results showed that none of the doses was effective in inducing sister chromatid exchange in bone marrow cells. The dye was not cytotoxic; nevertheless, Moore ot

al. (1984) presumed that the dye was distributed to bone marrow cells, although they found no traces of the dye in bone marrow cells.
