Description of key information

Key study: EU Method A.21 and UN Handbook O.2. GLP study. The test item EAC3 has no oxidizing properties.

The mean pressure rise time for the test item (8.5 s) is greater than the mean pressure rise time for the reference item nitric acid 65 % (5.1 s). The test item EAC3 has no oxidizing properties according to the reference guidelines.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Since the substance has no oxidizing properties according to EU Method A.21 and Handbook O.2, EAC3 is considered to be non-oxidizing, and therefore, the substance is not classified in accordance with CLP Regulation (EC) no. 1272/2008.
