Additional information

No experimental data evaluating the hydrolysis of Glycerides, C8-21 and C8-21-unsaturated, mono- and di-, acetates (CAS No. 97593-30-1) are available. However, according to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex VIII, column 2, 9.2.2.1, hydrolysis testing is not required since the substance is readily biodegradable. The results from the supporting QSAR calculations performed with the main fatty acid components (C10 mono/diacetate and C10 di/monoacetate, HYDROWIN v2.00) indicate that indeed hydrolysis is not expected to be a relevant degradation pathway for this substance, with half-lives ranging from 193-231 days (pH 7) and 19-23 days (pH 8)(López Parrón, 2011).
