Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No experimental data evaluating the potential for photodegradation of Glycerides, C8-21 and C8-21-unsaturated, mono- and di-, acetates (CAS No. 97593-30-1) in air are available. Since the substance is a complex UVCB, QSAR calculations using the AOPWIN v1.92 program have been performed on representative fatty acid components (C10 mono/diacetate and C10 di/monoacetate), resulting in estimated half-lives (DT50 values) of 13.4 and 20.7 hours (reaction with OH-radicals, 24h-day)(López Parrón, 2011). These values indicate that the substance is susceptible to undergo rapid indirect photodegradation in air. Nevertheless, this is not expected to be a relevant environmental fate process, since Glycerides, C8-21 and C8-21-unsaturated, mono- and di-, acetates is not likely to be present in the atmosphere in relevant amounts based on its estimated vapour pressure value (< 0.001 Pa at 20 °C).
