Description of key information

A long-term study to aquatic invertebrates is not needed due to the rapid degradation of disulphur dichloride in water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, the study is scentifically unjustified as the substance is hydrolytically unstable yielding well-known inorganic ions. Furthermore, due to the use of disulphur dichloride in closed systems and its decomposition before being released into the environment, emission into surface water can be excluded (please refer to the Chemical Safety Report) and thus, aquatic organisms are not exposed.
