Description of key information

Flash point [furan]: -32 to -36°C (WoE)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
-32 °C

Additional information

Flash point values of -32°C (Pennakem 2011), -35°C (IARC 1989 and ICSC 1995) and -36°C (Pohanish 2008) were reported for the substance in secondary sources to which no reliability could be assigned. Although full details are not available, the available data are used as weight of evidence.

A flash point of -32 to -36°C and a boiling point of 32°C, indicate that the substance should be classified as a flammable liquid according to the criteria of Regulation 1272/2008/EC.
