Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Aquatic toxicity:

Experimental acute toxicity studies of reliabilities 1 or 2 (Klimisch rating), performed according to international guidelines, are available to assess the aquatic toxicity of the registered substance. The studies were performed on two source substances. No effects were observed on the three aquatic trophic levels (fish Danio rerio, aquatic invertebrates Daphnia magna, algae Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata) up to the solubility limit of the test substances, and no inhibiting effects on activated sludge microorganisms of a municipal sewage treatment plant were observed at the limit test item concentration of 1000 mg/L.

Environmental fate and pathways:

The registered substance is readily biodegradable and therefore is not persistent in the environment. Also, with an experimental log Kow value determined at 5.79 (source substance), the registered substance is considered to be bioaccumulable according to CLP (> 4.0) and potentially B/vB according to PBT criteria (> 4.5). Finally, with an experimental log Koc value determined at 3.67 (source substance), the registered substance is slightly mobile in soils according to P.J. McCall et al., 1981.

Conclusion on classification

No harmonised classification is available.

No acute toxicity at levels up to the water solubility; readily biodegradable but log Kow = 5.79.

Classification according to the Annex VI of the Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP): The test substance is not classified for the environment.
