Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

According to REACH Regulation (Annex XI, 2), the study on a specific endpoint does not need to be done if the study is technically not feasible due to the inherent properties of the substance. The kinematic viscosity of Z-Oil could not be determined using the capillary method described in the OECD Test Guideline 114 (2012) due to the black colour of the test item and due to the fact that the test item is not a Newtonian liquid, so that the flow of the test item through the capillary was very slow and different at different places in the capillary: at the capillaery wall the test item remained much longer as inside the liquid and due to that, a meniscus of the liquid could not be observed (INEOS (2014): Non-volatile, high boiling byproducts from the cumene-phenol process (UVCB substance): Determination of physico chemical properties: Viscosity via capillary viscometer (OECD 114; 2012).
