Description of key information

The oxidising properties of Z-Oil were investigated in a study conducted according to EU Method A.21 (Oxidizing Properties (Liquids), 2008). The mean pressure rise time of the reference substance was 5.52 s. The mean pressure rise time of Z-Oil was 25.13 s. Based on the results, Z-Oil has no oxidising properties under the test conditions in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.21.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

Reliable results on the oxidising properties of Z-Oil were obtained in a study conducted according to EU Method A.21 (Oxidizing Properties (Liquids), 2008).

Justification for classification or non-classification

Due to the fact that the 1:1 mixture (by mass) of the test item and cellulose had a mean pressure rise time higher than that of a 1:1 mixture (by mass) of 65% nitric acid and cellulose the test item has no oxidising properties.
