No significant endothermic or exothermic effect of the test item was observed between 20°C and 221.2°C (i.e. the melting temperature of the test item; see Chapter 7). It demonstrated that the test item is not self-ignitable.
After the experiment, the test item had turned into a black charred expanded residue and was collected in a container that was placed below the cube. It indicated that the test item had been molten, decomposed and/or reacted during the experiment.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The self-ignition temperature of JNJ-73841937-AAA (T003925) was determined using a temperature programmed laboratory oven, a stainless steel wire mesh cube, NiCr/NiAl thermocouples and a temperature recording device.
Based on the results obtained the test item is considered ‘not self-ignitable’.
