Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The median and mass diameters obtained using laser diffraction are equal to 202 μm and 288 μm, respectively.
The following size distribution was obtained using dry sieving:
> 710 µm: 8 %
> 500 — < 710 µm: 40.6 %
> 355 — < 500 µm: 24.5 %
> 250 — < 355 µm: 25.3 %
> 180 — < 250 µm: 1.2 %
> 125 — < 180 µm: 0.3 %
> 100 — < 125 µm: 0 %

Additional information

A GLP experimental study, performed according to Guideline OECD No. 110 (1981), NF ISO 25914 -1 (1989) and NFX11-507 (1989) and scored as Klimisch 1, is selected as a key study. It gives a size distribution by dry sieving and mass and median diameters by laser diffraction.

A non-GLP study, scored as Klimisch 2, is flagged as a supporting study, and gives a particle size distribution by laser granulometry for sizes below those investigated by dry sieving.
