Description of key information

Depending on the experimental procedures, the concentrations of Nd and P measured during the 10-day period were between 0.009 and 0.134 mg Nd/L and between 0.02 and 0.131 mg P/L. The solubilization of P and Nd was not directly and/or exclusively related to the dissociation/degradation of neodymium tris(di-2-ethylhexylphosphate). There was probably a recombination / solubilisation phenomena of these elements in the presence of other species present in solution or on glass walls. The maximum degradation/dissociation rate of neodymium from neodymium tris(di-2-ethylhexylphosphate) was close to 1 - 2%, with a solubility < 1 mg/L.
