Description of key information

The test substance is an off-white solid, without a characteristic odour. A melting point of 37.1°C at 101.325 Pa as determined using the differential scanning calorimetry method according to OECD Guideline 102 No boiling point could be determined as the test substance decomposed before boiling. Density of 0.938 g/cm3 at 20°C, was measured using the pycnometer method in accordance with OECD Guideline 109. The vapour pressure, 1.1E-6 to 1.45E-5 Pa at 20°C was determined using the isothermal thermogravimetry method in accordance with OECD Guideline 104 The partition coefficient, log Kow, 5.7 at 20°C, was determined using the estimation method (solubility ratio) according to EU Method A.8. Water solubility of 1.7 mg/L at 20°C, was determined with the critical micelle concentration (CMC) method according to ASTME 1148-02. Particle size was not determined as the test substance is marketed in a non-solid or non-granular form. The surface tension of 36.25 mN/m was determined using the OECD harmonised ring method according to OECD Guideline 115. The test substance was not flammable in a flammability test following UN Manual of Tests and Criteria Test N.1. The substance has no groups associated with explosive properties and is not oxidising based on chemical structure.
