From the measurements, it was observed that there was no significant change in surface tension readings on transfer to the measurement vessel.

Mean calibration corrected surface tension = 38.0 mN/m

Harkins-Jordan corrected value = 35.0 mN/m

Conclusions:
The surface tension of fatty acids lanolin lithium salts was determined to be 35.0 mN/m. The test item was considered to be surface active.
Executive summary:

A study to determine the surface tension of fatty acids lanolin lithium salts was conducted according to the OECD guideline 115 (Dunning 2018). The surface tension was determined at 20°C with a surface tension torsion balance using the OECD harmonised ring method.

The surface tension of a 90% saturated solution of the test item was determined to be 35 mN/m. As the result was less than 60 mN/m, the test item was considered to be surface active.

The study is GLP-compliant and was conducted according to the standard guideline, therefore is considered reliable without restrictions and suitable as a key study for this endpoint.
