Description of key information

N4-Benzoyl-5'-O-(4,4'-dimethoxytrityl)-2'-deoxycytidine is not readily biodegradable.

Additional information

The biodegradation potential of N4-Benzoyl-5'-O-(4,4'-dimethoxytrityl)-2'-deoxycytidine was evaluated by Flach (2018) in a CO2 Evolution (Modified Sturm Test) according to OECD 301 B (July 1992) and GLP. The test duration was 28 days and the initial test substance concentration was ca. 20 mg TOC/L. The results of the test showed that N4-Benzoyl-5'-O-(4,4'-dimethoxytrityl)-2'-deoxycytidine does not degrade within 28 days.
