Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates
Type of information:
read-across from supporting substance (structural analogue or surrogate)
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: Read-across from an analogue substance for which a guideline study (Klimish =1) is available.
Justification for type of information:
REPORTING FORMAT FOR THE ANALOGUE APPROACH
See attached reporting format.
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
read-across source
Key result
Duration:
48 h
Dose descriptor:
NOELR
Remarks:
No observed effect loading rate
Effect conc.:
100 mg/L
Nominal / measured:
nominal
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Basis for effect:
mobility
Remarks on result:
other: Based on the read-across approach from an analogue substance.
Conclusions:
Based on the read-across from an analogue substance, the No Observed Effect Loading Rate of the target substance is 100 mg/l loading rate WAF for acute (48-hour) toxicity to the freshwater invertebrate Daphnia magna.
Executive summary:

A study was performed to assess the acute toxicity of an analogue substance to Daphnia magna. The method followed that described in the OECD Guideline 202 and was conducted in accordance with GLP standards. The 48-Hour EL50(Effective Loading rate) for the test item to Daphnia magna based on nominal loading rates was greater than 100 mg/l loading rate WAF and correspondingly the No Observed Effect Loading Rate was 100 mg/l loading rate WAF. Based on the read-across approach, the 48h- NOELR of the target substance is 100 mg/L loading rate WAF.

Description of key information

Key study: Test method according to OECD 202. GLP study. Based on the read-across from an analogue substance, the 48 h-EC50 is greater than 100 mg/L loading rate WAF and the 48h-NOELR is 100 mg/L loading rate WAF.
