Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The toxicity on aquatic algae was investigated in a limit test according to OECD 201 [Safepharm Laboratories Limited Derby, U.K., 1995]. The compound was solved in Tween 80/acteone. At the tested concentration of 2 mg/L no effect on the green algae Scenedesmus subspicatus was detected. A previous study on Scenedesmus subspicatus confirms this result [abc Analytical Bio-Chemistry Laboratories, 1993]. In this study the nominal 48h-EC50 value was > 10 mg/L. Therefore it can be concluded that the substance caused no effect on aquatic algae in the range of water solubility.
