Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The substance is of low volatility, low water solubility and has a log Pow of >9 .

The substance is not readily biodegradable. No data on hydrolysis are available. However, the substance has an ester functionality and is therefore theoretically susceptible to hydrolysis. Furthermore, modelled data show that the substance might be degraded in photochemical processes.

It could be shown in biodegradation simulation tests that the substance will degrade fast in water under environmental conditions. Under aerobic conditions the main degradation products will be incorporated into organic matter.

Its adsorption/desorption coefficient (log) > 5 indicates immobility in soil. Due to its physico-chemical properties, it is likely to end up in the water, sediment and soil compartment if released to the environment.

The substance is not bioaccumulative as shown in data on bioconcentration test in fish. Modelled data for bioconcentration of the main degradation product show that the bioaccumulative potential of this substance is low.

No further data on the degradation product are available.
