Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation:
Bring affected person to fresh air. Offer oxigen if there
are any breathing problems and seek medical advice.

Emergency measure - Eyes:
Rinse immediately with plenty of water. Seek medical advice
if there is any irritation or large kontamination.

Emergency measure - Skin:
Wash skin with water and soap. If there is any skin
irritation seek medical advice.

Emergency measure - Ingestion:
Symptomatic treatment, seek medical advice.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent:
Water fog, extinguishing foam, carbon dioxide, extinguishing
powder.
Product arising from burning:
Carbon- and nitrogen oxides.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment:
Self-contained respirator

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage:
Sweep substance up (moisten powder with water in order to
avoid dust formation) or take up with industrial vacuum
cleaner. Collect in suitable container for disposal and
dispose in accordance with the national and local
regulations in licensed incineration plant.

Label waste containers accordingly. During the above
mentioned work wear the under 2.3.10 mentioned personal

protective equipment.

Handling and storage

Handling:
Avoid inhaltion, skin and eye contact. Use dust proofed
equipment for re-/filling and dosing work and for sample
taking. Exhaust possible dust formation at origin point. If
the technical exhaustion or ventilation is not possible or
insufficient wear respiration protection. Wear protective
gloves in order to avoid skin contact. Wear safety goggles
in order to avoid eye contact. Supply eye showers near the
working areas and signpost them conspicuous.

Due to the potential dust explosure hazard remove potential
ignition sources out the working area if dust could possibly
formate. Further take measures against static discharges.

Storage:
No special protective measures. Store in tightly closed,
unbreakbable and well labelled containers.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure limit values:
Not available.
Recommended monitoring procedures:
If this product contains ingredients with exposure limits, personal, workplace atmosphere or biological monitoring may be required to determine the effectiveness of the ventilation or other control measures and/or the necessity to use respiratory protective equipment. Reference should be made to European Standard EN 689 for methods for the assessment of exposure by inhalation to chemical agents and national guidance documents for methods for the determination of hazardous substances.
RISK MANAGEMENT MEASURES, OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE CONTROLS:
Technical measures:
No special ventilation requirements. Good general ventilation should be sufficient to control worker exposure to airborne contaminants.
PERSONAL PROTECTION MEASURES:
Respiratory protection:
Recommended: Dust-protection mask
Hand protection:
Recommended: gloves
Eye protection:
Safety eyewear complying with an approved standard should be used when a risk assessment indicates this is necessary to avoid exposure to liquid splashes, mists, gases or dusts.
Recommended: safety glasses with side-shields
Skin protection:
Personal protective equipment for the body should be selected based on the task being performed and the risks involved and should be approved by a specialist before handling this product.
Hygiene measures:
Wash hands, forearms and face thoroughly after handling chemical products, before eating, smoking and using the lavatory and at the end of the working period. Appropriate techniques should be used to remove potentially contaminated clothing. Wash contaminated clothing before reusing. Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.
ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE CONTROLS:
Technical measures:
Emissions from ventilation or work process equipment should be checked to ensure they comply with the requirements of environmental protection legislation. In some cases, fume scrubbers, filters or engineering modifications to the process equipment will be necessary to reduce emissions to acceptable levels.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire:
Unknown
Chemical reaction with water:
Unknown
Dust explosion:
Has not to be expected by observing the common industrial
hygiene measures and the avoidance of dust formation.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
