Description of key information

Soil Adsorption Coefficient i.e Koc value of tert-butyl-4-methoxyphenol was estimated as 840.7 L/kg by means of MCI method. This indicates that tert-butyl-4-methoxyphenol will adsorb to the organic carbon fraction of the soil and will have a slight tendency to move with the water content in the soil. This value is further modified to be 672.56 at 20 degree celcious.
This value of 840.7 when converted at 20°C works out to be 672.56.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
672.56

Additional information

The supporting study shows value different from the key study which could be due to the difference in the estimation conditions.

However, for the purpose of the dossier as well as for the chemical safety report the experimental value will be considered.
