Additional information

Evaporation of Fatty acids, tall oil, esters with dipentaerythritol (CAS 70913-98-3) to the atmosphere is not anticipated due to the low vapour pressure (VP < 0.0001 Pa, SPARC (v4.6)) of the substance components. In conclusion, indirect photodegradation is not a relevant pathway for the substance since the substance is not likely to be present in the atmosphere. However, if released to the atmospheric compartment, calculated values regarding photodegradation indicate that the substance will be rapidly degraded with half-lives ranging from 46.4 min up to 2.87 h for the substance components (Kuckuck, 2013). Due to the low water solubility (<0.04 mg/L; Frischmann, 2013) abiotic hydrolysis is not anticipated for the substance. Calculated half-lives > 1 year (at pH 7) for the substance components strengthen this assumption.
