Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Regulation Annex VII section 7.11 an explosive properties test does not need to be conducted as there are no chemical groups present (as listed in Annex 6 of the „Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods“) which were associated with explosive properties. Thus, a test on explosive properties was not performed; based on the molecular structure of Olaflur, explosive properties can be excluded. Moreover, Olaflur shows no strong exothermic reaction in the DSC test.

non explosive

Additional information

The test on explosive properties on Olaflur was not performed. Based on the molecular structure of the substance, explosive properties can be excluded. Olaflur does not contain any substances, which have reactive groups as listed in Annex 6 of the „Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods“. Moreover, Olaflur shows no strong exothermic reaction in the DSC test.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the molecular structure of Olaflur and experience in handling and use, and taking into account the provisions laid down in Council Directive 67/548/EEC (DSD) and Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP) , no classification and labelling is warranted with regard to explosive properties.
